Cocaine Hippos tells the story of a global struggle to protect over one hundred African hippopotamuses that live in the heart of Colombia’s most important river. Now declared an invasive species, this story brings together local and international conservationists, lawyers and local community members who want to come together to save the species involuntarily brought over by drug lord Pablo Escobar.
